I've heard of cyclists shaving off time in a TT, but shaving your bike is a new one!

I was fortunate that a shop on the high St quickly sold me a hacksaw and I was able to free Sue. I attempted to follow..went past the gunpowder tower on Hounslow Heath and followed the R Crane but lost the little routes and got stuck on a busy road to Hayes so retreated via Feltham and Sunbury to home. My feet were freezing!

I can second your recommendations. Beautiful building and a short walk from the pier. I have stayed a couple of times and a cousin stayed there for Xmas due to shortage of accommod.with family. Gets booked up quickly at wk ends.
