Very sad news. Such an illustrious history as a club cyclist; and in later years a stalwart supporter of our club. I will always remember his charming presence together with Doreen at so many of our 11’s meets and cycling events. Heartfelt condolences to Doreen, Brian and the family.

It says Lisa but it’s from Mark G!
Simon L 26 December 2017 at 13:26 GMT
Does Maggie know that Lisa's there with you Mark??
Lisa 28 December 2017 at 10:24 GMT
Hmm, How'd you manage that Mark?
And I'd love to be wherever you are; anywhere but here...
Mark G 28 December 2017 at 14:28 GMT
Hi Lisa,
When I was doing the End to End, in 2009(?), you gave me an email that let me post directly to the blog. As you told me at the time,
‘It’ll say Lisa, but that doesn’t matter’. Still use it from time to time, as it lets me post directly from my phone.
See you by and by - sorry to hear about Ron.
Mark

Mark sounds like a good day out what a splendid idea to let the train take the strain and you did not find any black ice. Enjoy your skying over Christmas and do not come back with any broken limbs.

So relieved your helmet saved you from what sounds like a very nasty fall. Get well soon.

Dave,
I have found in the past that Old Malden Lane has a patch of black ice. On one occasion we swerved out a bit to avoid it and a car right on our tail hooted at us. The surface of that road is really bad, time they repaired it.
Sorry to hear that you have had this serious accident and I hope that you are now not feeling too sore. Great to hear that our emergency services were on the case to help you.

Dave such bad luck, I do hope that you have no lasting side effects and while I find my mountain bike hard work I think I will stick to the knobbly tyres with this cold spell. Get well soon hopefully with a full recovery.

Sorry to hear Dave. I hope the recovery road is much better than Old Malden Lane. Best wishes.Mike
