It looks as if the Sou'Westers will be living up to their name - again! :-(

Hi Simon. FYI I am a member of the Canal Trust and they have sent me a form to fill in and return for this purpose which I have done, they take the view that electronic reply is not adequate to protect them and that ones signature is required!
However the MG owners club (Epsom) have interpreted that they do not have to get specific permission but are taking the view that as all the information was previously freely given they are immune taking the view that it up to the individual to opt out if they feel that way. Strange!

Thanks, John, for a very enjoyable ride in quiet, unfamiliar countryside.

The 25th April was my 2nd time on a push bike cycling in Kent, I was beginning to think it was going to be my last time, cycling up Toys Hill. (It didn't seem suitable for a fixed wheel?)
A good venue to cycle too, The Fox & Hounds.
Many thanks, John, For leading the group and devising the route

A very enjoyable day John . Thanks for planning such an excellent route and leading the ride at a steady pace. I look forward to next year's "bluebell ride" .

Thanks for a good ride, Keith. I recovered my specs, took a guess which way you had gone, and after a bit I saw Janice in the distance. She was quite hard to catch, and when I did, I could see that he wasn't Janice ...
Blindley Heath, over Tilburtstow, Hilltop Lane and up on to Farthing Downs. I waited there in the sunshine for a few minutes, thinking that you might be heading for tea in Coulsdon, but no luck. So over the hill to Woodmansterne and home for tea.

Keith, thanks for a super ride in country we do not often visit, and should know better. On the return I managed to achieve a personal best double puncture. First(front) was in the middle of muddy nowhere, but thankfully Geoff returned to help, and guided me on the return route. We can’t have been far behind you as we could sometimes see your tyre tracks. Unfortunately on a whim I decided to take us up Tandridge Hill, rewarded only by a sight of a group of deer in a sunlit glade, before realising the error of our ways and descending Gangers Lane to the Woldingham School road.
Second (rear) puncture was in Manor Park; thanks Geoff for staying, but by the time it was fixed we were both ready for home.
Thanks again for the ride, and especially to Geoff for his help.

It was certainly not a flat ride so thanks for the warning Tim. However John made over 4000 ft of ascent seem remarkably easy (apart from the big one of course!) Well done John for careful reading of the gradients to give us a lot of very pleasant undulating riding in a potentially hilly area.

Poetry too - is there no end to your talents Tim? :-)

Sadly the poetry is not my own and you really wouldn't want to hear me sing!

Amazing . I think you should do a kareoke slot at the next AGM.
