Here are Frank, David, Judy, Doreen, Ron and me (holding the camera) enjoying—as we thought—a last cup of coffee at the Roehampton café on Friday morning.But on wishing the staff a tearful farewell, Frank learnt the good news that it had been decided on Thursday not to demolish the café but to keep it open, at least while the new one is being built. That at any rate is what we were told. So New Year's Day might be saved after all.
