I made it to Edinburgh in two and a half days but shortly afterwards my Achilles tendon started aching along with a few others pains. I was running up against the time limits and only getting 2 hours sleep a night which was beginning to impact on my speed.

So I dropped out at Innerleithen after 470 miles and 19,300 feet of climbing.

Lots of amazing scenery, amazing people and wonderful memories.

Next event in 2021 - I'd recommend it!

And PBP in 2019 if you can't wait until then.

Congratulations Neil!

Well done Neil nothing to be ashamed of, makes my 8.5 hrs Pru 100 look pathetic!
Right now I am about to leave Nottingham to go to Birthday Rides.
