I guess the smaller one is a ha'penny farthing then?

Could be, but it might be a 'Dwarf Kangaroo'. They were the last gasp of the Ordinaries when the Safety Bicycle came along. They had a smaller diameter wheel, a chain and sprockets to multiply the ratio. The were safer, and quite fast, but only lasted for a couple of seasons before the Safety completely eclipsed them
