You are invited onto the A Group ride on 2nd September from Cobham to Guildford and Dorking. Lunch is at the Wetherspoons, Sir Ronald Wates, Stag Hill, Guildford - never-before visited by Wayfarers. (It's not surprising, as it was only opened last month!). Tea is at the Old Clunker cafe, Dorking.
It is 22miles to lunch and 16miles to tea. The route is road based, and includes various cycle paths - all well paved, and involves a comfortable 463m of ascent. (Note: the planned route into Dorking takes in SUSTRANS route 22 along Balchins Lane before Westcott, and the off-road section includes some short stretches of generally firm gravel). This can obviously be avoided however by continuing by the more direct route along the A25, Guildford Road, into Dorking, if this is preferred.
There are two sub-leaders, Brian and Fiona, should numbers justify 3 groups.
Please respond by the normal deadline of 6pm on Monday 31st August, using Spond, or you can always email me at:- gedlawrenson150@gmail.com.
Ride details will be sent out by email on Tuesday morning.
